There
are numerous ways to support NVAC's philanthropy and
service activities, including the following:
Book
Basket. For your convenience, a book basket will
be at every general meeting to encourage donations
to our local philanthropies. Feel free to drop your
new and gently-used books, as well as school supplies
and comic books, in the "Book Basket" placed
near the nametags at general meetings. Books for ages
7 and under, as well as Spanish language books, are
especially needed.
Support
Local Events. Informal groups of Pi Phis often
form a team to support charity fundraising walks,
runs and other worthy causes in the community during
the year. One such event is the National Race for
the Cure. Several club members showed their support
for sisters with breast cancer by joining other NVAC
Pi Phis to help raise funds for breast cancer research
and prevention programs by participation in the race
in Washington, DC.
